FAQs
Got Questions? We have got answers.
Program & age
What ages is Shatara Kids for?
Shatara Kids is designed for children ages 2–7.
My child doesn’t speak Arabic at all — can they start from zero?
Yes. We start with listening and simple speaking using repetition, visuals, and songs.
What if my child understands Arabic but answers in English?
hat’s normal for heritage kids. We focus on low-pressure repetition and encourage one-word responses first, then short phrases.
Dialect & learning approach
Do you teach Egyptian Arabic or Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)?
We focus on spoken Egyptian Arabic (Masri) — the Arabic kids hear in family conversations.
Will learning Egyptian Arabic confuse my child if they learn MSA later?
No. Spoken Arabic builds confidence, pronunciation, and vocabulary. If you choose MSA later, your child will have a strong foundation.
Do parents need to speak Arabic?
No. We keep practice simple and parent-friendly.
Progress & expectations
How fast will my child improve?
Every child is different, but most kids begin to understand common phrases and respond with short words/phrases with consistent exposure.
How can parents help at home if we’re busy?
Use the Library: play one song daily, repeat 3–5 phrases during routines (bath, meals, bedtime), and use flashcards for 2 minutes.
